Intro

Great design has no expiration date. I curate art and design that bridges the gap between modern and vintage, often exposing the history behind what is today's tastes. Creating connections between the past and present using images, color, a shape, or a motif is how I best express myself.

I view myself as not just a dealer, but as a temporary custodian of material history. I enjoy the search for beautiful and interesting art as much as I enjoy helping patrons select perfect pieces for their beloved living spaces. My mission is to research, preserve, and share history - mostly in the form of vintage art and advertising - by thoughtfully and expertly presenting it in a way that ensures that those who bring these works into their homes and workplaces will enjoy them for many decades to come. My hope is that those pieces of art will become treasured family heirlooms that will be preserved, and loved, by generations to come.

I select antiques based on form, silhouette, and emotional resonance rather than strict pedigree. And, by juxtaposing a 19th-century hand-carved walnut cabinet with a metal Bauhaus chair, I aim to show collectors how antique pieces can inject soul, character, and sustainable luxury into contemporary living spaces. Combining new and old in interior design builds a rich composition full of depth, texture, and complexity. Every item I source is chosen because it possesses a distinct personality. I want to help my clients find that one-of-a-kind piece that makes their space feel entirely personal, deeply nostalgic, and a little bit magical.

About

Elin and Erlie is more than just a name; it’s a legacy. The company is named in honor of two of my great-grandmothers, Elin and Erlie—two women who, in their own distinct ways, embodied the art of living with intention and feerlessness. Elin, at the age of 17, left her home in Sweden for a land full of promise. She embraced the new country, took risks as an entrepreneur, and didn't look back. Erlie worked hard to preserve family traditions; photos, recipes, and practical knowledge was lovingly handed down. Both women had courage and strength and left a lasting impression on future generations in their own ways.

It is their combined spirit that forms the foundation of this company.

Our Philosophy

At Elin and Erlie, we believe that people and their environments are deeply connected. When they are in harmony, people feel more comfortable, confident, and inspired. Our mission is to help you choose beautiful and interesting vintage pieces that make your home something special.
